Surprise! My kids do not want to be my pen pals!

I planned on telling you about this great parenting idea I read about on the internet– to write 40 pages with each of my kids. I planned on adding my own genius in the form of this makes a perfect use of all those swag journals that you get at conferences! I planned on a new season of deepening relationships with my children that not only fostered our communication, but also their love of writing, while continuing a similar tradition that began with my dad and me.

Below please find what happens when you’re busy making conscious parenting plans…

    MPages

    EPage

Given the overwhelming response, of course I plan to write them back. And change my name to XBox1.

    1. I know we’re taught no means no, but in THIS instance, I truly in my heart of hearts believe that that well written and capitalized NO indeed means I want to do this for all eternity.

    2. Oh. I remember the time I tried this. I wanted my daughter to share her feelings, but didn’t want my son to feel left out. Who do you think actually participated in the way intended (albeit briefly).

Don’t your boys realize this could be one more thing worth lots of money since it has their famous mom’s writing?!?!?! The electronics they could by selling it someday. 😉

    3. Ha! I’ve wanted to do something like this. My youngest is the only one I see participating. And my laziness and forgetfulness will cause it to fizzle out before anything else.

    4. This post has everything I love: over the top expectations, a passionate conviction of being right, the willingness to Hurl yourself over the wall to insure success. Abject failure. BRAVO IMIG.
