How to Interview Babysitters

**fake post alert for Wendi Aarons**

See, Wendi has this pet peeve about posting just to say you’re posting elsewhere, so I’m giving her advanced warning. Not only that but also thematic content!

My essay “UNNannies” about my boyfriends my babysitters is syndicated at BlogHer today.

As a Wendi-insisted BONUS to make this visit worthwhile, please watch this funny video from Anne Flournoy’s the louise log: How to interview babysitters.

    1. Good post. I have to say that I have never been happier than when my oldest turned 13. The day of her birthday, we took off for a night out. Those days are finally over for us. Our daughters are 16 and 19. They are the babysitters and I have to say that as picky as we were with babysitters, they are the same if not more with the children they watch. There are families they absolutely refuse to sit for because they dislike the children so much. My oldest has said she doesn’t care how much they pay, “their” children are out of control. Funny how it works both ways.

    2. I don’t get Wendi’s beef with the “I’m posting to say I’m posting elsewhere.” Cuz…it drives me bananas when someone guest posts somewhere, and then they post their own post the same day.

      Methinks that is not nice.

I do love me some busty Wendi, though. No matter what.

    3. You know, I’m glad you addressed this. Because every time I put a link on my site to a post somewhere else? I think of Wendi. And she’s frowning and shaking her finger at me. I’m sorry Wendi! I’m sorry, okay?

Loved your post at BlogHer, Ann!

    4. Thank goodness you posted that video so my time was used wisely here. Also, if the kids locked themselves in the closet why does that lady want to get them back out?

    5. Little slow on the uptake here and just figuring out about comments on blogs. Thank you Ann for posting this and thereby introducing me to the world of the smartest and funniest women writing- except for Helen Fielding whom I found on my own.

FYI, we re-did the sound on this episode so it’s cleaner and doesn’t have stolen music exposing me to a lawsuit. Here’s the new url: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDiw9OHOR7E
