    1. You’re such a Trendspotter. Just like Kelly on RHONY.

And I heard Amy Adams just named her new baby girl “Sneezy.”

    2. This is so timely. I’m agonizing over baby names (just wrote a wee post on the subject myself) and this reminded me to not take it so seriously.

I kinda like Bordeaux although, everyone would believe it played a part in the conception wouldn’t they? ‘This is my daughter Bordeaux’ “Oh, I see” would be the response.

    3. I wish I saw this list 5 years before we named my daughter, or better yet, before we named my 11 month old son. I think Hyphen is gender neutral, right? And giving my child a name that is all too close to hymen is what I’ve been waiting my whole life to do.

Remember that Seinfeld episode? “Everyone always made fun of me because my name rhymes with a part of the female anatomy.”

    4. It’s probably because I spend a lot of time reading 19th century stuff, but I have to say that MIASMA is quite possibly the best new trendy name ever! When I was a kid, we used to joke that Formica Dinette would be a really beautiful girl name (especially if the emphasis is forMIca). You might also consider Crystal Shanda — but only if the family last name is Lear.

Also — huge (potential) congrats on the nomination!

    5. well deserved nomination for you both.

listened to the video. Burst out into tears listening to the one about the foster mom. laughed hysterically at ms. Ding Dong.

    6. Hello! Wanted to ask you to please stop over when you have the chance, I have a very special award up for you to see (You don’t have to follow any rules, or anything…just acknowledging your fantastic wit, and overall “one of a kindness.”)

    7. i voted for you, you gorgeous, wonderful, stupendously fantastic woman, you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps- “widget” are you kidding me?!?! a blogger must’ve come up with that one after spending WAAAAAY too much time on the computer. yeesh!!!

    8. My daughter (named Anne, by the way) teaches in an urban school and here are some of her ACTUAL student’s names: British, Symphony, Timeless, and S’yrius.

    9. I thought about naming our son Hat, but it’s really more of a girl’s name.

(Thank you 30 Rock for letting me steal that joke online. I mean, reference your show.)
