Big Week: Listen to Yo Bossy Mama

It’s a big week here in ‘Sconnie town. I am busy putting the finishing touches (interpret loosely) on Listen To Your Mother. I haven’t had time for blogging, but Andrea Zani interviewed me for this Sunday’s Wisconsin State Journal, and you can read it on-line here.

BOSSY arrives for her NO BOOK TOUR, which may or may not include a night of Wisconsin traditions as described here (cue BOSSY as Tevye, bellowing TRADITIONNNN, TRADITION!)

    YO BLOGGY MAMA
I will be thinking of my blog friends on Sunday. I so badly wish everyone could join us for Listen To Your Mother. We are having the show recorded to post on-line as soon as possible. Note: Suzy Soro has done her damnedest to coach me remotely in the art of mc-ing. Disclaimer: Suzy Soro cannot be held responsible for my performance. Or my hammer pants. At least not directly.

Another way I thought I could include my blog friends, is to host YO BLOGGY MAMA (blog version of Listen To Your Mother) Please link up your own favorite post on motherhood, or about your mother, and I will look forward to reading them next week during my post-show meltdown.

    Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
    Ann

    1. I left my blog link. I guess my best post on being a mother is the one entitled “Inspiration Generation” which I wrote in honor of my kids for mother’s day. I think it is the post previous to the current one about twitter. I love your blog, Ann, and you know I am a huge fan.molly

    2. I spend a lot of time shuffeling my kids to and from school, so why not get a blog post out of it right?! Thanks for the Mister Linky, I look forward to reading all of the posts! Happy Mother’s Day to you!

    3. Hi Ann – first of all once again all the very best of luck with the show, I really do wish I could be there. I love this idea of a link up for posts on Motherhood. I have linked to one of my favorite posts on the subject above, it was a hard choice between this one and another entitled “Will You Still Need Me…When I’m 64” (which is how old I will be when my daughter turns 21!)

Anyway, enjoy the show, I am sure it will be brilliant and have a wonderful Mothers Day

    4. Hi, Ann: this show sounds so great. I cannot wait to hear it. I should just get my lazy loser a** to Madison. I’m only in Cedarburg…loser.

The best of luck! I am excited for everyone involved.

    5. I got to meet Bossy a few weeks ago when she rolled through Austin. She’s lots of fun.

And best wishes on your show this weekend. I wish I lived close enough to attend.

    6. Ann — the article in WSJ is great! Congrats! And if you’re out tomorrow night – let me know. Maybe I’ll join you out. 🙂

    7. I am so proud of you, you have no idea. The show is going to be great. You have done an amazing job of pulling this all together and I hope you realize that.

Happy MOm’s day to an amazing mom and friend

    8. Happy early Birthday, Happy Mother’s Day, Happy Early You Rocked The Show Day, and Happy You Are A Great Friend and I’m so Proud of you Day!

    9. I have never wanted to be in Wisconson more.
      Really. I never have.

Enjoy your show on Sunday. I know everyone else will!

I had the grand pleasure of meeting La Bossy two weeks ago. I found her to be beautiful and funny and well-accessorized. You ladies will get along famously.

    10. Best of luck with Listen To Your Mother! Wish I could see it in person. I’m sure it’s going to ROCK. And thanks for posting the links – great idea. I’m looking forward to reading them.

    11. I’m thinking of you right now and hoping for a SMOOOOTH day tomorrow! I so wish I could be there and I’m so excited to see that I’ll get to view it online later. GO HAMMER!

    12. Seriously just SO SAD I can’t be there to celebrate this with you — it’s going to be a fantastic show! I’d link a post here but honestly I can’t pick a favorite (that’s either because they’re all so incredibly awesome or so embarrassingly awful, take your pick) and also, I’m lazy. But will enjoy reading the others, when I can. BREAK A LEG TOMORROW!!

    13. Thinking of you today. I’ve never wished I lived in Madison more than I do today! Hope the show goes well. Break a leg. 🙂

    14. Will have to comb the archives… I am SO proud to be your friend, Ann. And so impressed with what you have accomplished here. I’m waiting to the see the video, not very patiently, but waiting.

Hooray!!! I hope it all went well and you are basking in applause at the Barrymore right now.

    15. Hi Ann, I’m in Madison and super happy to have found your blog! I wish I would’ve found it a few days sooner and made out for Sunday’s event. Sounds like it was fabulous and what a wonderful and inspiring idea! Can’t wait to hear more about it!

All of my friends seem to be having babies and so I painted a piece in honor of all of them entitled EARTH MOTHER. To me, mothers are the absolute protectors of all things. I’ve added the link to your wonderful list 🙂

      Best wishes!
